Sixième édition de Peinture fraîche et nouvelle construction

Peinture fraîche et nouvelle construction est de retour pour une sixième édition surprenante et haute en couleur. Véritable vitrine de la nouvelle génération en arts visuels de l’Est du Canada, événement attendu par les collectionneurs et intervenants du milieu des arts, cette exposition collective annuelle sera présentée dans l’ensemble de nos espaces (sur trois étages) et regroupera plus de cent soixante œuvres picturales, sculpturales et installatives.

Cette année, trente-quatre étudiants au baccalauréat et à la maîtrise en arts visuels, issus de huit universités canadiennes, représenteront leur département. Sélectionnés par leurs professeurs, les exposants se démarquent par la qualité et l’originalité de leur œuvre et de leur démarche artistique.

Pour cette sixième édition, l’Université d’Ottawa (Ottawa, ON), la York University (Toronto, ON), l’Université Concordia (Montréal, QC), l’Université Laval (Québec, QC), l’Université du Québec à Montréal (Montréal, QC), l’University of Western Ontario (London, ON), l’University of Waterloo (Waterloo, ON) et le Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (Halifax, NS) ont tous réitéré leur participation.

The sixth edition of Fresh Paint / New Construction

The sixth instalment of Fresh Paint / New Construction brings together works by
thirty-two up-and-coming Canadian artists, selected by faculty members from eight
universities, in an exhibition that celebrates outstanding talent and potential. This
year’s students are from: Concordia University (Montréal, QC), Université Laval
(Québec, QC), Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (Halifax, NS), University of
Ottawa (Ottawa, ON), Université du Québec à Montréal (Montréal, QC), Univer-
sity of Waterloo (Waterloo, ON), University of Western Ontario (London, ON)
and York University (Toronto, ON).
The exhibition features a wide range of approaches to painting and sculpture
through traditional and contemporary techniques and materials which reflects the 
hybrid used in this year’s presentation have never been more diverse.The following are just a few examples of this variety.
